HKP has distributed monthly rations to nearly 5,000 families in Lahore and its surrounding areas since 2020. The need for this drive was felt at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, when lockdowns were being enforced across the world and unemployment was rising. At a time of heightened financial insecurity, HKP stepped in to provide a basic safety net to working class families across Lahore and its surrounding areas. The party collected funds from members and supporters and diverted these to the purchase of monthly rations - each bag contained essential items of daily use - which were distributed by volunteers.
