What is HKP?

HKP is an organized effort at addressing Pakistan’s hollow democracy. As a tradition of procedural democracy and consistent elections begins to cement itself within our political landscape, we at HKP seek to invigorate that landscape with a more substantive democracy—one that addresses the needs and concerns of a majority of Pakistanis, not just the political one-percent.

Mazdoor Bachao March 

On March 2024, HKP organized a Mazdoor Bachao March with the workers of Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate. Workers came out in huge numbers to protest for their demands. 

Memorial event for bhagat singh

On March 23, 2024, HKP General Secretary Ammar Ali Jan visited Faisalabad to speak at a memorial event on the life and legacy of anti-colonial revolutionary Bhagat Singh. 

Khalq pOLITICAL tRAINING CENTER

HKP has recently launched a political training center where we provide legal training to factory workers. Each course is organized over three weeks, with lectures on various topics. 

Khalq summer school 

HKP has recently conducted a summer school program in Lahore through the help of young volunteers who taught essay writing, public speaking and civics. Read more about the program. 

2022 FLOOD RELIEF DRIVE 

Pakistan has been swept by a climate catastrophe that displaced 35 million people and destroyed millions of acres of agricultural land. HKP is on the ground providing humanitarian relief to those affected. Read its call for global solidarity and donate to the relief effort.
